CLEAN MY AIR HRV CLEANING PROCESS

The HRV part of the furnace system usually hangs below the ceiling in the furnace room.

First, we will  remove the door and filters;  we clean the unit using compressed air and our industry leading Hypervac duct truck or our portable Hypervac vacuums. 

Next, we use a special tools to agitate and remove any dust from the pipes that go outside.

From there, we attach our vacuum to the main line that connects to all the vents in your home, which are usually in the bathrooms, laundry room, and sometimes the kitchen. We blow air through each vent to ensure they are clean and clear of kitchen and bathroom dust.

The manufactures typically recommend cleaning the filters in the HRV unit about every 6 month, Clean My Air strongly recommends cleaning or at least checking these every 2-3 months which would be close to the same timeline you'd be changing your furnace air filter.
